Unlike conventional web apps that send your inputs to backend databases, ApplicationForLeave.com is built as a pure client-side static web application.

All application logic—including template substitution, calendar day computations, business day filtering, rich-text formatting, and Word document compilation—is executed by JavaScript running inside your web browser engine on your local device.

What This Means in Plain English

When you enter your supervisor's name, your employee roll number, or a sensitive medical condition into the generator, that information stays strictly inside your device's RAM. It is never transmitted across the internet to our servers.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

To maintain the highest level of trust, we adhere to absolute data minimization. We do not collect, harvest, store, or sell:

  • Your full legal name or signature.
  • Your employer, company name, school name, or college department.
  • Your employee identification number or student roll number.
  • Your supervisor, HR manager, or principal contact details.
  • Your medical diagnosis, doctor's notes, or personal health records.
  • Your personal telephone number, home address, or emergency contact info.

Because we never collect this information, it is impossible for our team to view, share, or lose your data in a server-side breach.

3. Local Storage & Saved Drafts

ApplicationForLeave.com provides an optional "Save Draft" capability so you can return to previously customized leave applications.

This feature utilizes the standard HTML5 window.localStorage API on your device:

  • Local Isolation: Drafts are stored under the key leave_drafts exclusively inside your browser's private sandbox storage on your specific computer or smartphone.
  • No Cloud Sync: Drafts are never synchronized with remote clouds or synced across different devices.
  • Total User Control: You can delete any saved draft individually using the "Delete" button inside the Saved Drafts tab, or wipe all drafts instantly by clicking "Clear All" or clearing your browser cache.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We believe in an unobtrusive user experience free from aggressive tracker networks:

  • Zero Behavioral Tracking Cookies: We do not deploy third-party advertising trackers, cross-site re-targeting cookies, or fingerprinting scripts.
  • Theme Preference: We store your visual light/dark theme choice under theme_pref in localStorage so the website displays your preferred contrast mode on subsequent visits.
  • Server Access Logs: Standard HTTP web server access logs (such as IP address, user-agent string, and requested asset path) may be temporarily processed by infrastructure CDNs purely for security protection against DDoS attacks. These logs contain no personal form content.

5. Third-Party Interactions (Email & WhatsApp)

When you use our quick-dispatch actions:

  • Send via Email (mailto:): Clicking "Send via Email" launches your device's native email client (e.g., Apple Mail, Microsoft Outlook, or Gmail) using a standard mailto: link. Once your email program opens, communication is strictly governed by your email provider's privacy policy.
  • Share via WhatsApp: Clicking "Send via WhatsApp" opens WhatsApp's official API link (https://wa.me/). Any text transmitted through WhatsApp is protected by WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption and terms.

6. Security & Encryption Standards

ApplicationForLeave.com is delivered over modern Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) utilizing 256-bit Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption. This safeguards the static assets from man-in-the-middle tampering between our edge servers and your web browser.

Because your text generation is contained locally, there are no remote APIs to intercept or back-channel databases subject to unauthorized exfiltration.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Our website provides leave templates specifically tailored for school pupils and their parents. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international child safety standards:

We do not knowingly collect, store, or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. Student names, roll numbers, and grades typed into our school templates remain exclusively on the user's local device and are never sent to any server.

8. Your Data Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under global data protection regulations—including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)—users have rights to access, rectify, or delete their personal data.

Because ApplicationForLeave.com retains zero personal records in any database, we do not hold identifiable consumer records to disclose or delete. You hold 100% control over your data directly on your device.
